we returned home over the weekend from a vacation to myrtle beach with ross' family. why it has taken me this long to blog about it is not because we didn't have a good time, but because after traveling with 4 little kids i think i need another vacation. we had so much luggage that we actually relied on everyone but the baby to help carry something. i wish i had taken a picture of presley (3) pulling some luggage saying, "it too hebby...it not working...i can't do it..." and ross replying yes she could and come on, and telling people watching that "no one gets a free ride in our family..."it was sunny, hot, and fun. we made it to the boardwalk...
played at the beach...
visited the aquarium...
pretended we were FLDS...
and endured the usual drama (involving both kids and adults)... in this particular scene presley howled for almost an hour for what seemed like no apparent reason (here with cousin jordan & grandpa.) we only found out the reason on the way home. of course it was because...she dropped her weed flower. of course. that makes perfect sense. (insert roll of the eyes here.)
jen, my thoughtful sister-in-law made all the girls beautiful pillow case dresses. they looked angelic playing in the water at sunset.
all that's left of our fun vacation is riley's beautiful shells... too bad the crabs died!

Oh my gosh--I SO need a vacation!! Calgon....take me away!! Those pillowcase dresses Jen made are adorable on the girls!
we need a new word for a "vacation" you take with your kids. to me it's like everyday life but 10 times harder! the are are very cute.
ummm, that last sentence was supposed to say, they are very cute dresses. not sure what i was doing there!
